Blizzard, your "improved" UI failed... | 3/23/2005 8:32:29 PM PST

When I heard about the upcoming changes to the UI I was excited, I thought they are actually going to make the UI better and would be able to ditch Cosmos (no offense, I love the product but not having to worry about patches would be better) and just use what the game makers supplied
.....well I was WRONG.

The improvements blow in comparison to what cosmos offered. To top it off Cosmos took features out forcing me to use Blizzards gimped replacement. =/ Everything Cosmos did was superior so why oh why Blizzard did you not ask Cosmos to just "borrow" some of thier code then pubically announce these features were graciously donoated by Cosmos. I will bet they would have agreed and then we would not have to put up with your designers "thrown together" feeling UI features.

Things i liked about cosmos now missing.....

1 - action bars that only appear on mouseover
2 - side action bars (on BOTH sides)
3 - linked action bars (so I can go through them two at a time)
4 - Buff timers in BIG bold, easy to read letters with a countdown timer in both minutes and seconds......not simply "5m"

I also liked being able to see all my party members buffs at ALL times and not just mouse over and having the life bar change color as something was damaged.

Uh... Cosmos, for the most part, blows. Get rid of it and get some functional mods instead.

Another feature I would request -

The "Enable Text Quest Scroll" feature (disabled on cosmos by default). Cosmos allows the quest text to appear instantly so you don't have to wait for it to scroll.
